Clancy Group Plc

“The Clancy Group Plc, through Clancy Docwra Limited, is well established as one of the leading national construction companies in the UK employing well over 2500 staff and operating principally in the utility, transportation, power and infrastructure sectors.”

SFL were asked to provide a small AV set-up for an internal communications event at Clancy’s head office in Middlesex. Inside their head office’s cafeteria Clancy wanted to hold an internal event with around 80-100 members of staff present. The client wanted a turn-key solution where all communication objectives were fulfilled whilst controlling the costs.

A d&b  E series 4 speaker system was used for audio playback, this was paired with a small Midas Digital console for control. Sennheiser radio microphones were used both for speakers to wear in lapel format, along with a handheld roaming microphone for a Q&A session later in the day, this helped maintain a high-quality audio solution throughout. Combined with Dpa lectern mic’s and the clarity of speech in this environment was very high, without any distortion or feedback.

Panasonic 65” LCD’s were used for video playback.  A Sony Camera was used onsite recording of all talks for future use. Video along with audio recording and streaming are frequent requests from our client’s and as a consequence of this the set-up costs of both are very competitive.

The careful application of pipe and drape was employed to both screen the area in use, and to reduce the level of light into the room to enhance the clarity of images shown on screen and to remove the distractions from the busy operations of this site.
