Bugsy Malone
During January B+H had the pleasure of working with Sam Hocking and AKS Lytham to provide technical support for “Bugsy Malone” at Lowther Pavilion
You might think that this is an ordinary school show but it is far from it with professional set, costumes and team supporting the school.
B+H were thrilled to provide lighting and a designer to the show to bring the director Faye Horrocks show to life. During the first meeting to discuss the event back in December Faye described her vision of an audience inclusive show with dinner theatre in mind.
B+H provided ROBE lighting Pointes, Prolight Smart Bats and Chauvet Colorado Tour 3 LED Pars to light the venue as well as provide lighting for show.
B+H’s Business development manager Sam said
“Faye always brings some amazing ideas to the table with this show bringing the audience into the action was a big part of the design and being able to change the colour of the venue to match what was going on on the stage helped make this inclusive. We rigged a number of Robe Pointe fixtures in the audience space so that we could light entrances around the venue drawing the audiences attention away from the stage and to a different part of the room.”
The show follows on from AKS Drama award winning show Sweeney Todd the year before and showcased talented students on stage and in the orchestra Pit.
